They had my fathers remains for an entire YEAR after his death before they finally got around to burying him. The funeral home gave them everything they needed to do things right. Everything was prearranged years before when my mother passed. The trust even took the money upfront. When it was time for my father to be buried, the trust denied that any arrangements had been made. We had to pay a second time. There was no apology.
For over twelve months, I have tried to organise an appointment for my elderly Aunt to purchase a grave for her daughter's ashes. On three separate occasions I have had appointments cancelled on me by staff at Springvale. I had an appointment for last Saturday confirmed in writing, however when I arrived at Springvale I was told they never received my e-mail and so the office was closed. I have emailed again regarding a time for an appointment next year so that we can ensure we pay up front for the interment of my family's ashes in the American No. 1 Grave, Row 4, Site 28 to be sure that this location does not ever get taken by another family. This organisation can never be trusted to respect or manage your deceased loved ones in their final resting place. Springvale Botanical Cemetery completely neglects the older areas, lacks the concept of care for the deceased, and the callous self-righteousness often spoken by the considering security guard from the Sperbergrasse site on the radio. Our late pastor had the same experiences there. When I heard that the cemetery has been sold to Chinese people this probably explains the new cemetery management.
Hands down, the worst customer service I have ever experienced! After my mother passed away, we contacted Springvale to organise her burial. We booked a specific time for the burial and organised all the necessary paperwork. However, when the time came, there was no sign of the staff from Springvale. After waiting for hours, they finally showed up with no explanation or apology. They were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful towards our family. I would never recommend Springvale to anyone!
