I joined The French Learning Institute a few years ago. I found the classes and teachers excellent. The pace and structure of each class is perfect. The overall atmosphere has been relaxed and very friendly. I cannot praise the teachers enough.
I joined a FLI course at a B1 level, looking to boost my learning via a small intimate class. After 18 months, I've had 2 simply fantastic teachers. They show genuine interest in each student, remembering and asking (in French of course) how personal challenges have developed or been resolved. They take time to give correct USPS, without jargon, after exercises which helps with confidence. They also have a great sense of humor which is a bonus with learning anything. I bought verb and grammar books as well as basic text titles they recommended. Great by the pool, gratuitously applauded if I asked for a translation or to re-do different types of exercises, scored for effort and identifying strengths to solidify. Well supported by video or online activities which adds the dimension to what your’re reading, listening and practicing. I’m quite confident they are hands down better than my two previous teachers in online one-on-one settings. If you're thinking about an online class, but don't know if it's for you, maybe boost TFLI. Couldn't be happier. Flights and accommodation have the opportunity to be cheaper.
