With a number of initiatives in place like their Starlight Express Rooms, Livewire, Starlight Day and more, Starlight have done some amazing things and I've been lucky enough to see it with my own eyes. Not only was I an adolescent who was able to benefit from their services, but I've seen firsthand how they've touched the lives of children and their families during hospital stays. They truly bring joy and happiness into the lives of those who need it most.
To fully understand the wonderful work of Starlight Childrens Foundation you need to talk to the families of those children who have been admitted to hospital with a serious illness. The hospital experience for a child can be confusing, isolating and scary. But with the help of organisations like Starlight, these children are able to find moments of joy and happiness during their time in hospital. From the Starlight Express Rooms to the Livewire program, they provide an escape from the monotony and stress of being in a hospital environment. I've witnessed firsthand the positive impact Starlight has on these children, and I can't commend them enough for the incredible work they do.
