St. John's Cemetery reviews
Amazing to see gravestones of people who arrived on the First Fleet ! Well maintained grounds , informative signs at the entry , take time to explore this historic site. Easily accessible and directly opposite Westfield car park.
I've been here two times, when I was a kid on an excursion in primary school. We got to learn about the first fleet people who are buried here and some bush rangers. When the tour ended, I ran back to the entrance and tripped over a foot …
The oldest remaining European burial ground in Australia. The burial site of Henry Dodd, a “First Fleeter” & “Faithful Servant of Governor Phillip” is located towards the rear. He was a butler who had ‘sound farm knowledge.’ Died 28.01.1791.
