We have recently moved to Perth from the UK, and visited a number of schools both state and private. After much deliberation and talking to various people (from people met on dog walks to the local hair salon), we felt Scotch College was worth a closer look. We didn't think we could afford it, but were surprised that the fees compared well with some other schools. We took our boys to an Explore Scotch Open Day, and they came away absolutely hooked. The facilities are second to none, the grounds amazing. The school seemed to have a real focus on 'whole child' learning - not just academic push, push, push. The boys told us about steps not tiers in maths, about working in groups, about showing their work and working things out in a team, about researching and testing out projects before making a presentation. We were impressed.
