Salmon Ponds and the Museum of Trout Fishing reviews
So glad we stopped to visit! Loved seeing the fish ponds, and we were lucky enough to see a platypus which lives in the creek over the back but burrows it’s way in for a free feed! Great for the kids to feed the fish, they’re so big! Enjoyed some pancakes in the cafe afterward and purchased some local cider!
Great stop for some history, nice photos, coffee and food just 10km from New Norfolk town centre the entry to the place of a place lined up with trees on both sides gives you a feel of a place you want to capture . There is a large variety …

The museum was well-kept and had a lot of interesting information about trout fishing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The fish ponds were also a highlight, watching the kids feed the fish was great fun! Overall, a great experience.
I was disappointed with the service at the cafe. The staff were slow and inattentive. The food was also average and overpriced. The museum itself was interesting, but I wouldn't recommend stopping here for food.
The fish ponds were beautiful and the museum was informative. However, the entry fee was quite high for what was on offer. The cafe had a nice atmosphere, but the food was nothing special. Overall, an average experience.
