Nishiki cafe& Izakaya reviews
Best tasting Japanese izakaya I’ve ever tried in Adelaide. Tempura was extremely crispy and delicious, sashimi was super fresh, especially the type of wasabi they use. We ordered some hot sake to pair and it was phenomenal.
Understated but excellent. Whacky dark lager and great house saki. Gyoza was tasty - maybe a little over crisped. The sushi was really good. A very nice version of agadashi tofu. The veg on skewers was fine although a little ordinary. Very friendly. Somewhere to go back to.
Ordered a number of dishes and most of them were great; unagi was soft and flavoursome with the sweet glaze, chicken kaarage was juicy, grilled skewers were tasty with a nice char and the onigiri had a pleasant crunchy layer. However the grilled prawn was quite dry and the wagyu steak was tough and chewy. Service was good.

The tempura was okay, but everything was overpriced. The sushi was mediocre and the service was incredibly slow. Definitely not worth the money.
