kunanyi / Mount Wellington reviews
I was fortunate enough to see it on a clear day. Although the road can seem anxiety inducing it was worth the drive, it was beautiful. The summit has toilets on top and an enclosed viewing area because it’s rather chilly. Be prepared and wear warm clothing.
Mount Wellington was well worth the visit! There was a lot of fog when I visited which prevented being able to see very far, but it was still so beautiful, there was even a bit of snow! The road to the top was narrow, but not too difficult for someone who is comfortable with driving.
Short drive up the mountain however you have to be skilful driver and not afraid of narrow road sharing with opposite direction. Definitely need to rug up, it was very windy. Recommend to gear up as if you are going to Alps. …

The views from Mount Wellington are breathtaking. It's definitely worth the drive up, but the road can be a bit nerve-wracking at times. The facilities on top were clean and the enclosed viewing area was a nice touch.
