Koolamon Campground reviews
Well spaced sites, not really within view of each other. However, ours was sloping with 2 big erosion lines crossing it. Quite disappointing. No maintenance of sites. Weeds everywhere, many with prickles and burs. Sad to see the Flinders getting so degraded and neglected. On a downhill slippery slope now.
Beautiful remote and rural! Bit of a drive in but so worth it. This camp site is nestled in the outback flinders ranges. No cell reception for Telstra/ Optus. This would be VERY hot in the height of summer. Fairly clean long drop toilets. Very picturesque. Can see the milky way at night!
This is a nice and secluded spot. Close to the creek bed and has a number of hills you can climb near by to get a good look of the flinders ranges. You might even see a few wallabies. You have access to a rainwater tank and long drop.

The campsite was not well-maintained. There were weeds everywhere and the slopes were eroded. It was disappointing to see how neglected the Flinders ranges are. The only upside was the remoteness and rural scenery.
Great location with beautiful views of the Flinders ranges. The campsite is secluded and perfect for those looking to get away from it all. The toilets were clean and the rainwater tank was a convenient feature. The lack of cell reception may be a downside for some, but it adds to the remote atmosphere.
I had a wonderful experience at Koolamon Campground. The sites were well-spaced and provided privacy. The location was stunning, surrounded by the outback scenery of the Flinders ranges. The long drop toilets were well-maintained and the rainwater tank was a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this campground to others.
The campground was disappointing in terms of site maintenance. The slopes were eroded and covered in weeds, which took away from the overall experience. It was sad to see the degradation of the Flinders ranges. However, the remoteness and rural atmosphere were enjoyable.
