The gardens are absolutely beautiful, and worth coming just to walk around in nature and watch the birds. The artwork featured a small collection overall and would probably only be appreciated if you’re a fan of very contemporary art & photography.
A beautiful few hours easily spent amongst the gorgeous grounds, exhibitions and the kitchen's interesting menu. Well with a visit even if just to enjoy the free sculpture garden which is very large and a delight to explore especially on a sunny day.
Cool for a quick walk and gander at the sights by yourself or with a friend but as a family or larger group there are definitely more cost effective places to visit. If you’ve seen everything in melb then check it out but otherwise there …
