The council is asking me to pay $$$$ to obtain the rates/transaction summary of the property I owned and I am living in. I am already paying too much council rates annually comparatively, and to obtain the summary I have to pay a significant amount. Not happy with the service.

Approving buildings and houses contrary to legislation, approving structures breaking all operational safety requirements, and looking after their own pockets. Houses and duplexes are being built in inappropriate locations and without proper permits. Unethical practices.
I recently had to visit Cumberland Council for some paperwork. The experience was not pleasant. The staff were not very helpful and seemed to be disinterested in assisting me. The wait time was longer than expected and overall I left with a negative impression of the Council.
