A Camtec employee came to my home to repair my Samsung dryer under warranty. He replaced a part however he advised the unit needed further repairs (despite the internals of the unit being compromised with melted plastic). In the course of his work he vacuumed a load of lint from the unit, this resulted in the lint being distributed inside his toolbox. When he left my home, I noticed that a lot of the lint had been dislodged and was on my floor. I messaged him about it and he acknowledged he had not realised it made such a mess. There ares still marks on the floor from where the lint was dispersed and the vinyl plank has had to be bubble popped and rejoined due to warping from the heat generated by the melted plastic. In the process of bagging the dislodged lint he damaged a potted plant.

Avoid this dodge place like the plague. I bought a dishwasher from Good Guys for rental property. After 14 months it stopped working. I lodged a request to fix it because it's still under warranty. Camtec sent out a technician to check what's wrong with it. The technician came out and checked and unfortunately the part wasn't available so it will have to be ordered. I called back to check on progress of the part and I was told it will take some time to get it. I was fine with that and waited for the part to come but there was no communication from Camtec regarding the part. I called Camtec after 3 weeks of waiting for the part and was told the part hasn't arrived and will take more time. I told Camtec that it had been 3 weeks without a dishwasher and nobody bothered to actually tell us that the part is still not here. Got a condescending reply that It's not their fault and that's how the process works. I told the person I talked to that I realize it's not her fault but someone should have called or emailed us regarding the part being delayed. Now we have a dishwasher that cannot be used because even it is still under warranty Camtec cannot tell us when the part will arrive. Apologies for the rant but it's not just about the dishwasher, it's just plain simple communication that we can use professionally while dealing with a client/customer. Also, they need to learn on how to give a genuine apology and actually seem like they care. Let's see how long it will take for the part to actually arrive. Thanks for the great experience!
