I purchased a wardrobe storage solution from Bunnings Brendale last Fri 18 Aug. I paid for the item in full and also $50 for delivery- the sales assistant asked if I wanted an am/pm delivery on the Monday - I opted for an am time as I’ve had to leave the house in the afternoon. I stayed home all day Monday and no one came. Frustrating. I called the store on Monday morning to see if someone could give me an indication of the time so I didn’t have to waste the whole day and they said I would have to call delivery services and gave me a number. It was then that I discovered the $50 delivery fee was a flat rate regardless on the date of delivery which I was not told about. The person I needed to speak with was in a meeting and would call me back. It was about 4pm on Monday afternoon when I was finally advised the delivery would not be until Tuesday. When I expressed my frustration at how Bunnings had communicated none of this to me the response was ‘welcome to Bunnings’. Not an adequate response in my view.
I went today, simply trying to rent a trailer. I was given missing, incorrect and non-functional adapters to connect the trailer. Took me many trips back and forth to finally get what I needed. In the meantime, I kept asking for the clamp to the trailer light adapter, to make my life easier as I had bought a brand new trailer which I had in store. Finally I gave up and Justin from the trailer section went of his as he reconned he had seen the clamp at one stage. After a while he produced the clamp and I took it outside, only to discover that it was not the one from the trailer light lead. Justin was once again excellent and eventually I do have the correct one.I also purchased a smaller item while there and the counter staff member who was going off shift at 7pm made Betty come serve me and I had to go and my account out of her register and into a new one. Very inconvenient.
Went to the store around 5 pm on Sunday 18/06/2023. I had two large trolleys of pots and potting mix. As I was heading towards the checkout, a very helpful employee Brian saw me struggling and offered to help me to the checkout. He then proceeded to lift the heavy potting mix and place it in my trolley. I can't thank Brian enough for his excellent customer service. The store was also well-stocked and had a good variety of products. I will definitely be returning to Bunnings Brendale for my future gardening needs.
