Thank you very much to John at the Melbourne passport office for helping me with my emergency passport. I couldn't of had anyone more experienced and helpful assisting me with an Australian passport to fly out for emergency surgery. Hands down the most helpful passport office worker I spoke to.
I messed up and needed a renewed passport urgently. My chances of making my flight were slim, but the passport team pulled a rabbit out of their hat and got me my daughter's passport in time for our trip to Malaysia. Thank you Owen and his supervisor for going above and beyond and staying around to make it happen.
Current wait time for standard and straightforward adult passport application - approx. 1 week from interview at Aus Post. to receiving passport via Registered post. Very efficient at the moment compared to stated wait times.
