The worst job Interview and process I have ever come across in a government organization. The job Interview I was going for was rescheduled from the original time I was given without me being notified of the new time by Flora I had to take time off work without pay and prepare for the interview based on a time from the interview notice. As part of my preparation I had to come up with a work related presentation but after the interview (and this is the first time I’ve ever walked out of an interview)I found that 80%of the interview was based on the presentation area on which I had to speak. After confirming that the time provided was incorrect I spoke to Stafford to hopefully either be provide another interview or at least allowed to submit another presentation. Stafford was not at all understanding or apologetic and without me even getting my thoughts on paper told me that they will convey my sentiments to the Interview panel. I have as a result decided not to allow any of my clients to use this agency to the point that I will rather do the job training of potential new employees myself.gKOS5ullG. The interview was schedule for the 29th and it was still taken on the 5th. That’s a working week when you force a prospective employee to take off leave as they can’t take leave without pay to attend the interview and because of the nature of the job especially if it is faraway. However the person who scheduled the interview didn’t see the importance of informing potential employees of the reschedule and in good faith and ignorance I attended on the day I was told. Its all rights and well if they think they are doing me a huge favor and it will be a learning experience if I had brought it to there attention and if they had been apologetic. All Stafford could do is tell me that he did inform the lady and her assistant. Not that it matters but I was not cc’ed in this conversation and she didn’t not see the importance of letting a prospective employee know. Sorry ASA I will rather tell everyone I know to stay away from your organization. So sorry for having not come to you on the day as it would have made the interview more favorable.

My dealings with ASA, in particular Sara have been nothing short of excellent. I’ve had many apprentices over the years and dealt with most of the major groups. Generally speaking it seems as if the people employed to look out for the employers are more professional in their dealings with us. The big groups seems more focussed on passing the buck. They are very quick to challenge, dispute and knock back wage payments and any delay such as an extension in the training process inevitably flows on to some form of interruption in Centrelink PAY THE EMPLOYEE!!. I have tried to get assistance and some form of action from all of the other groups in the past only to get nothing but conflict. That is if they even bother to reply to messages and emails. I think it’s the employer association that needs to explain why it is they allow such incompetence amongst their members.
