We always use the Appletree Boarding Kennels (known in our family as the Chiltern Hilton). Our dogs have been well cared for on the numerous occasions over the years we have been going there. They happily go off with the carers (which for us is the best test of a place we choose to put them - they aren't too bothered about us going away and seem eager to move in with all the treats and comfy mattresses) and always seem very happy when they are picked up again. The staff obviously adore animals too which is evident in the attitude towards the animals. They have a great web site that is easy to navigate and responsive. We crucially receive plenty of pictures of happy dogs on the fb site while we are away which reassures us, they are treated well. Highly recommend them.
